What is FEDORA?

• Stands for Flexible Extensible Digital Object and Repository Architecture.

• FEDORA is a digital object architecture and repository management system, initially developed by Cornell

• Now an open source project, Cornell is working with the University of Virginia and a handful of deployment partners (one of which is Rutgers) to enhance and broaden FEDORA's functionality.
